Arts Project Australia presented Strange Creature Creations; a workshop in response to the exhibition Strange Planet.

Strange Creature Creations invited participants to join two of Arts Project Australia’s iconic artists; multi-disciplinary magpie enthusiast and badge-maker Miles Howard-Wilks, and soft sculpture extraordinaire Terry Williams, to create creatures both hard and soft.

The workshop had two components and participants were encouraged to partake in either one or both aspects: draw and make a badge with Miles, or sit alongside Terry and soak in his sewing prowess while you hand stitch and stuff a strange soft creature of your own.

By the workshop’s end the gallery was laden with a variety of strange creatures big and small, winged and whiskered.

Strange Creature Creations took place in the thick of Strange Planet, a critter laden exhibition curated by Miles Howard-Wilks, Sandy Fernée, and Sarah Lamanna.
