David Mendelsohn is an emerging multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans drawing, painting and ceramics. His artmaking takes inspiration from a broad range of subjects, including science, technology, geology, and philosophy. With an often-abstract approach, Mendelsohn’s work features kaleidoscopic patterns, colours and forms that warp and shift, creating a psychedelic effect for the viewer. His ceramics practice complements his drawings, with intricate markings on the clay that mirror the psychedelic patterns found in his 2D line work. Since 2023, Mendelsohn has been developing his practice at Arts Project Australia. His work is held in private collections.
