Joey Balliro is an emerging artist working in digital media.
A devotee of gaming, Balliro is a digital native and uses Twitch streaming, artstation.com, Apple product releases and general online culture to inform their work. A figurative and narrative-based artist, Joey renders their heroes in such a way that they fit within an edgy urban context. Utilising new technologies, including NFTs, to support their digital practice, Balliro uses digital drawing to position themself within online communities, forums and digital aesthetics.
Balliro joined Arts Project Australia in 2020 and participated in his first group exhibition with Arts Project that same year.
