His videos often include film from different countries, during specific eras, edited by Aidan to create disarming re-cuts. Aidan’s videos are distinctly self-aware, with astute observations and interpretations of the world around him. As his videos build and progress, they transfer an increasing feeling of self-consciousnesses to the viewer.
The content of Aidan’s printmaking and works on paper, runs parallel to his video work and often centres on archetypal other-worldly characters. Throughout all of Aidan’s works there is often a lingering sense of unease. Aidan is skilled at developing suspense and suggesting narratives that continue beyond the page and screen.
