Patrick Francis (b 1991, Auckland) is a prolific figurative painter, who works primarily in acrylic on paper. His paintings draw on personal experiences as well as popular culture and art history. Francis has worked in the Arts Project studio since 2009 and held his first solo exhibition in 2014. He has been invited to participate in numerous group shows including Melbourne Now, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne and was a recipient of the Art & Australia/Credit Suisse Private Banking Contemporary Art Award in 2012. His work is held in public and private collections Australiawide.
