Daniel Richardson is an emerging artist working in a range of mediums to create cartoon-like and theatrical works. His vibrant pencil and pen drawings depict flat compositions of disco scenes, movie scenes and landscapes. Recently, he has focused on collage and mixed media works exploring self-portraiture and celebrity icons. Glamour, campness and humour are the standout features of his imagery, whether through the garish or suave outfits adorning celebrities or the artist’s emulation of celebrity style.
Richardson has worked at Arts Project since 2012 and has exhibited annually at Arts Project Australia. His work is held in private collections nationally.
