Joanne Nethercote is an emerging artist working with acrylic on paper and embroidery.
She has a strong interest in cats, a subject matter close to her heart. Her acrylic works are flat in composition, balancing a tranquil mood with harmony of colour. Her embroidery holds a similar style and demonstrates a sensibility to contrasting materials and moving compositions.
Nethercote has worked at Arts Project Australia since 2018 and has exhibited in a number of group shows in Melbourne. Her work is held in private collections.
