SPRING1883 will return to The Hotel Windsor from 1-4 August 2018, as part of Melbourne Art Week, and coinciding with the Melbourne Art Fair!
During SPRING1883 Arts Project Australia will present a small collection of lyrical, inventive and tactile work that speaks to personal and domestic themes. Ultimately responding to the Windsor Hotel Room, the display will feature work by twelve emerging, mid career and established artists, reflecting upon the diversity, nuances and expressiveness of Arts Project’s artists.
By drawing upon tropes such memory, site, personal experience and domesticity, the presentation will introduce collectors and art-lovers to vibrant pieces in a focused setting.
Over the four days Arts Project will display a unique and idiosyncratic collection spanning, painting, drawing, soft sculpture and ceramics, including works by Alvaro Alvarez, John Bates, Michael Camakaris, Boris Cipusev, Wendy Dawson, Emily Dober, Jordan Dymke, Matthew Gove, Bronwyn Hack, Brigid Hanrahan, Paul Hodges, Ruth Howard, Miles Howard-Wilks, Kate Knight, Bobby Kyriakopoulos, Adrian Lazzaro, Chris Mason, Eden Menta, Chris O’Brien, Warren O’Brien, Lisa Reid, Rebecca Scibilia, Mark Smith, Georgia Szmerling, Amani Tia and Terry Williams.
