Rebecca Scibilia is having her second solo in Sydney from 23 February – 16 March, exhibiting in new space Suite 7a, established by Sydney-based artist Rafaela Pandolfini. The show will feature Scibilia’s vivid, techni-colour works on paper, using bold textas and paints and referencing text from popular culture and her own phrases like “bugger the gym”.
Rebecca Scibilia has been a regular studio artist at Arts Project Australia since 1999, and had her first solo exhibition at Arts Project in 2014. She has exhibited in numerous group shows including Spring 1883, The Establishment, Sydney, ‘Hybrid Making’ Project Ability Gallery, Scotland; ‘Heavenly Stems’, Neon Parc, Melbourne; and ‘Melbourne Art Fair’, Royal Exhibition Building. Her work is held in the Leeuwin Estate Collection in Western Australia.
