Founded in New York in 1993, the Outsider Art Fair is the original art fair concentrating specifically on self- taught art.
The 29th edition of OAF will include a hybrid of online and in-person components, featuring 7 curated exhibitions across 5 locations around Manhattan, in addition to a robust lineup of online viewing rooms powered by Artlogic, showcasing 45 exhibitors from 29 cities representing 9 countries.
As part of the OAF, Salon 94 Freemans presents of Semiotic Terrain: Art from Australia and New Zealand featuring both Julian Martin, represented by Fleisher/Ollman, and Alan Constable, represented by DUTTON.
“This excellent, tightly knit group show uses art from Australia and New Zealand to create a brace of heady dialogues. Chunky clay cameras by Alan Constable, who is legally blind, look like models of the idea of a camera, while behind them, a row of Julian Martin’s colorful biomorphic pastels model ideas that are harder to name.”
