Michael Camakaris has been selected as a finalist in the Burnie Print Prize.
Established in 2007 by the Burnie Regional Art Gallery (BRAG) in northwest Tasmania, the $15,000 acquisitive Burnie Print Prize is open to artists from Australia and Oceania. The Burnie Print Prize was established to Develop the Gallery’s print collection, present the best of contemporary printmaking, support artists who work with the print medium, foster innovation in the print medium, promote an appreciation of the fine art of printmaking, recognise and celebrate craftsmanship, and explore possibilities of the medium in contemporary practice
The Burnie Print Prize 2021 prize winner will be announced at the opening of the exhibition on Friday 26 March 2021. The exhibition closes Saturday 1 May and is open during gallery hours Monday to Friday 10am to 4:30pm and Saturday 11am to 4pm. Closed Sunday & Public Holidays.
